After serving Covington Ladies Home for seven years, Janet Borton retired this past August. During her tenure she helped the Ladies Home consolidate costs, bolster fund raising, and engage devoted staff members — all to provide the best in personal care to the Ladies who live here. As she often said, “Always remember we work in someone’s Home.” Janet looks forward to traveling with her husband, and increasing her visits to out-of-town children and grandchildren
Covington Ladies Home’s Board of Directors hired Carrie VanDerzee to serve as our new Director. Carrie worked in the nonprofit arena while her children were younger and subsequently engaged at a deeper level once they were grown. She most recently served as Development Director at One Way Farm in Fairfield, OH. Carrie joins CLH at a critical time in Ladies Home history. Through the Building Our Future capital campaign, we are poised to deliver 21st century care to the women who turn to us now and long into the future.
We wish Janet well in her retirement, and we heartily welcome Carrie to our Home.
