After graduating from The University of Cincinnati, I worked in New York for several years and thoroughly enjoyed all that the “Big Apple” had to offer. When I married my husband and decided to start a family, our Greater Cincinnati roots called to us and we were eager to move back home to be near family and raise our two sons. I have enjoyed a wonderful career assisting nonprofits in our community and am thrilled to be a part of The Covington Ladies Home and to serve our amazing residents. Our sons are recently married and we now have two wonderful daughters-in-law. I love spending time with our growing family and my hobbies are traveling, antiquing, genealogy, and historic preservation.
Director of Nursing
Since childhood, I have wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. I graduated from Fortis College with my associates degree in nursing. I am also currently continuing my education by pursuing a master’s degree in nursing administration and management. I have previously worked in long-term care and home health. My primary interest in healthcare is caring for elderly individuals — especially ladies! I have been married to my husband seven years, and we have two daughters, Sonya and Saphire. My daughters, husband and I enjoy playing soccer and spending time outside.
I have worked in development and fund raising for fifteen years, and at the Ladies Home since 2013. I live in the Licking Riverside Historic neighborhood, just a block and a half from Covington Ladies Home, so I can easily walk to my office — which I often do. I love working at CLH, especially the interactions I have with the ladies and the caregivers.
It has been a wondrous time since I started working at Covington Ladies Home. I always joke that I’m not quitting until I move in. I started as an activities assistant/nursing aide. Since then, I’ve completed my bachelor’s degree in social work at Northern Kentucky University, and I am licensed in the state of Kentucky. I am passionate about helping people, and I pride myself on being someone the ladies can depend on. I married my high school sweetheart, Jeremy, and we have a wonderful son named Ethan. Both occasionally swing by the home to play a game or cook with the ladies.
I have been an administrative assistant for over 25 years — with Covington Ladies Home for 8 years. I enjoy my work as administrative assistant; especially, with the added bonus of interacting with the ladies who live at CLH. I live in Northern Kentucky with my cat, Skeeter. I have one son and two grandsons! I like antiques and floral arranging for weddings for friends and family.
I’ve been working at CLH for two and a half years. I love every moment of working here. It is a very nice lovable Home, an outstanding place. I wouldn’t trade my job for anything! The Ladies are my rays of sunshine.
I attended the University of Cincinnati for some years, studying Biology and Psychology, but my heart was in the food and beverage industry, so I completed the Culinary Program at the Midwest Culinary Institute in May, 2013. I have been working as a chef ever since. I landed the most fulfilling job of my career in August 2014 when I came on board at the Covington Ladies Home. This job epitomizes the gratification of the culinary arts. I have been a Covington resident since 1999, and a resident of Old Seminary Square since 2004. I live with my best gal, Brenda and 4 dogs and 2 cats. “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to share it.”
